Job summary

Calor Gas Ltd. in Stoney Stanton is seeking two Maintenance Technicians to join our site. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical breakdowns, and help keep our LPG plant running safely and efficiently on day shifts.

Ideal candidates will have production maintenance experience, a City & Guilds engineering certification (Level 3+), and the ability to read technical drawings. Lathes, mills and drills experience, plus strong problem-solving, are essential; UK work right is a

• City & Guilds certification in engineering Level 3 or above.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with lathes, mills and drills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive maintenance approach.
• Understanding of engineering standards and mechanical repairs.
• Must have right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment breakdowns swiftly and effectively.
• Perform planned maintenance tasks to optimise equipment performance.
• Install and modify mechanical equipment in line with Calor specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proactively report hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork promptly.
• Be flexible in supporting shift coverage and responding to urgent maintenance needs.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician x 2

Location: Stoney Stanton

Salary: £33,000-£38,000 per annum dependant on experience + benefits

Shift: Day shift 6:00-15:00 (There will be opportunity for occasional overtime)

We’re now expanding our Operations team and are looking for ambitious Maintenance Technicians to join our site in Stoney Stanton.

The Role:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Stoney Stanton site. You will focus on both routine preventative maintenance and responding to equipment breakdowns, keeping our machinery running efficiently. Your skills will be critical in maintaining, fabricating, fitting and modifying plant equipment while ensuring safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment breakdowns swiftly and effectively.
• Perform planned maintenance tasks to optimise equipment performance.
• Install and modify mechanical equipment in line with Calor specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proactively report hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork promptly.
• Be flexible in supporting shift coverage and responding to urgent maintenance needs.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a production maintenance environment.
• A recognised City & Guilds certification in an engineering discipline - level 3 or above.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with precision.
• Experience with operating lathes, mills, and drills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing maintenance needs.
• A thorough understanding of engineering standards and mechanical repairs.
• Must have the right to work and reside in the UK.

Desirable Qualifications:

• NEBOSH/IOSH Safety qualification.
• COMPEX Qualification.
