Job summary

Severn Trent Plc in the Worcester/Gloucester area seeks an Electrical Maintainer for our Waste Water Recycling Team. This regional field-based role starts from home and includes a company vehicle, safety gear and tools. Flexible start/end times apply, and standby may be required.

You’ll need an NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent), the 18th edition IEE regulations, a Full UK driving licence and experience from process plants in any industry. Training and progression are provided.

Severn Trent has a great opportunity within our Water Treatment team to join as our new Electrical Maintainer for our Worcester/ Gloucester area within our Waste Water Recycling Team.

This is a regional field-based role, where you’ll start work from home and be provided with a company vehicle, mobile, safety gear, and tools. Hours: Mon–Thu 7:30–3:30, Fri 7:30–3:00 (flexibility on start and end times can be offered), plus standby will be required.

This role has a clear, structured development path from Foundation to Skilled and Expert. Salary starts at £41,762, rising to £45,165 with qualifications and experience, supported through formal training and assessment.

And it doesn’t stop there! Paid training and development form a core part of this role, with a requirement to work toward gaining a recognised second skill.

While instrumental qualifications or experience are advantageous, they are not essential, as full upskilling, formal training, and structured competency development will be provided.

We are considering all applicants that may already be duel skilled with the relevant qualifications with a starting salary of £45,171.

Successful applicants will be supported through technical training, on‑the-job development, and assessment to achieve the required competency and progress within the role.
