Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited is seeking a dual-skilled Technician to transfer heavy maintenance skills to the rail sector. You will be responsible for keeping a modern fleet of rolling stock operational and safe, applying fault-finding and repair expertise to minimise downtime.

Ideal candidates will come from heavy maintenance backgrounds such as HGV, aerospace, plant machinery, marine, or REMEs, and will gain long-term career progression in a specialist rail sector.

Qualifications

• Qualified dual-skilled Technician with heavy maintenance background.
• Experience in fault finding, diagnosis and repair.
• Background in HGV maintenance, aerospace, plant machinery, marine, the armed forces or REMEs.

Responsibilities

• Planned Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and complex repairs on a fleet of specialist rolling stock / rail vehicles.
• Reactive Fault Find & Fix: Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime and ensure operational excellence.
• General Support: Carry out essential pre-use checks on tools and equipment.
