Job summary

Tradebe is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our UK site to carry out preventive maintenance (PPM) activities and maintain meticulous records. You will identify defects, report them daily, and liaise with the Maintenance Manager to plan improvements and prevent unplanned downtime.

Additionally, you will ensure spares are replenished, keep work areas safe and tidy, and communicate health and safety concerns promptly to the Shift Manager.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to engineering problems.
• PC literate, and capable of learning how to use new software systems.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Tidy and methodical approach to problems.
• Recognised Mechanical apprenticeship or similar.
• Work and knowledge of different types of pumps.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all PPM activities and record them in line with procedures.
• Maintain all maintenance records for the site with attention to detail.
• Identify defects on the plant and report to Maintenance Manager daily.
• Inform Shift Manager of health and safety breaches and make safe when possible.
• Ensure maintenance spares are replenished by notifying Maintenance Admin.
• Keep all plant areas safe and tidy, and liaise with Maintenance Manager on issues.
