Job summary

Caresoft Global Limited is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Solihull on a contract basis. The role covers breakdown support, non-intrusive and intrusive maintenance, and is centered around FA3 with additional workload across other areas as required.

The position operates on a 322 shift pattern with days and nights, inside IR35, and requires hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise gained in manufacturing environments. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Technical (mechanical and electrical) automotive engineering skills gained in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Electrical Control / Mechanical Systems.
• Indentured or advanced modern apprenticeship.
• Comfortable use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost reduction in the area, root cause faults and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Work within a maintenance team to minimise downtime and improve MTTR/MTBF/MTTA.
• Deliver safe, efficient equipment performance within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & Environment framework.
• Achieve equipment service and repair objectives as directed.
• Provide technical response to breakdowns of facilities and their controls.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Solihull

Rate: £33.36ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or£24.88ph on a PAYE basis

Employment Type: Contract (Currently financed until 31st December 2026)

Hours: 322 shift pattern - Days & Nights

The Opportunity

This role will work as part of the FA3 maintenance operations team covering any breakdown in production time/ non-intrusive preventative maintenance and intrusive maintenance out of production time. The role will mainly be focused around FA3; however, our workload does include multiple areas within the business.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Drive cost reduction in the area, root cause all faults and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Work within a team maintaining all equipment to the highest standards reducing MTTR, MTBF and MTTA.
• To work as part of the maintenance team to ensure a safe and efficient equipment performance is delivered within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & the Environment framework
• Achieve equipment service and repair objectives as directed
• Technical response to breakdowns of all facilities and their controls to deliver minimal down time using safe working practises
• Contribute to all preventative maintenance completion targets
• Contribute to environmental initiatives to maintain standards as required
• Contribute to the delivery of Health and Safety initiatives to maintain standards as required
• Work on waste within maintenance and continually seek efficiencies in all areas
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager/group leader in connection with their job as may be requested

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Technical (mechanical and electrical) automotive engineering skills gained in Manufacturing
• Knowledge of Electrical Control / Mechanical Systems
• Relevant indentured, or advanced modern apprenticeship
• Comfortable use of Microsoft Package Elements e.g. Excel/PowerPoint.
