Pertemps Bristol Industrial seeks a Maintenance Person for a busy student accommodation site in Bath. This on‑site, hands‑on role ensures rooms and communal areas are safe and ready for new residents ahead of the academic year.

You will perform general maintenance, repairs, and safety checks, with immediate availability and flexible hours (8:00/9:00 AM to 4:00/5:00 PM on Mon, Wed, Fri). Pay is £14 per hour on an ongoing temporary basis.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance, handyman, caretaking, or facilities role.
• Practical skills across general building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
• Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
• Immediate availability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the building.
• Repair door handles, locks, furniture, fittings, and fixtures.
• Replace light bulbs and complete basic electrical repairs.
• Undertake minor plumbing tasks, including fixing taps, unblocking drains, and replacing shower doors.
• Complete painting touch-ups and minor decorating work.
• Inspect appliances and report any faults.
• Ensure all rooms meet health and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from the site team.
• Support the wider team in preparing accommodation for incoming residents.
