Job summary

Calor Gas Ltd in Port Clarence is expanding its Operations team and seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of the site. You will focus on preventative maintenance and timely responses to equipment breakdowns to keep machinery running safely and efficiently.

The role requires production maintenance experience, ability to read technical drawings, and proficiency with lathes, mills and drills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production maintenance environment.
• A recognised City & Guilds certification in an engineering discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with precision.
• Experience with operating lathes, mills, and drills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing maintenance needs.
• A thorough understanding of engineering standards and mechanical repairs.
• Must have the right to work and reside in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment breakdowns swiftly and effectively.
• Perform planned maintenance tasks to optimise equipment performance.
• Install and modify mechanical equipment in line with Calor specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proactively report hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork promptly.
• Be flexible in supporting shift coverage and responding to urgent maintenance needs.
