Job summary

Contechs Consulting in Solihull is seeking a Maintenance Technician on a contract basis to support FA3 maintenance operations, covering breakdowns and non-intrusive preventative maintenance outside production time. The role requires mechanical and electrical engineering know-how in manufacturing, with a focus on reducing MTTR/MTBF, safety compliance, and delivering continuous improvement through Kaizens.

You will work with maintenance leaders and production teams to uphold high equipment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role in maintenance operations in Manufacturing.
• Mechanical and electrical engineering skills gained in Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Electrical Control / Mechanical Systems.
• Indentured or advanced modern apprenticeship.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost reduction in the area, root cause all faults and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Work within a team maintaining equipment to the highest standards reducing MTTR, MTBF and MTTA.
• Deliver safe and efficient equipment performance within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & Environment framework.
• Achieve equipment service and repair objectives as directed.
• Provide technical response to breakdowns of facilities and their controls to minimize downtime.
• Contribute to all preventative maintenance completion targets.
• Contribute to environmental initiatives to maintain standards.
• Contribute to Health and Safety initiatives to maintain standards.
• Work on waste within maintenance and continually seek efficiencies.
• Undertake any other work as directed by line manager/group leader.
