Job summary

The Hurlingham Club is seeking a Multi-skilled Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours across five days, Monday to Friday). The role sits in the in-house Maintenance department, handling carpentry, joinery, fabric and general maintenance tasks.

You'll assess requirements, use tools safely, respond to reactive issues, and support other trades. The work includes participating in call-out and weekend rota arrangements, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Strong carpentry, joinery or general building maintenance experience.
• City & Guilds carpentry/joinery apprenticeship or relevant trade qualification.
• Good practical knowledge of domestic and commercial building maintenance.
• Confidence using hand tools, power tools and carpentry machinery safely.
• Flexible to support call-out and weekend rota as required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry, joinery, fabric and general maintenance repairs.
• Assess work requirements, identify materials and complete jobs to a high standard.
• Respond to reactive maintenance issues safely and professionally.
• Use CAFM system to progress works and meet timescales.
• Assist other trades and support wider maintenance tasks.
• Participate in call-out and weekend rota and emergency response arrangements as required.
