Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

FLSA: Non-exempt

Schedule: 10pm-6:30am.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment, with a strong emphasis on prioritizing safety. This role supports the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives by adhering to safety protocols and following predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
• PLC Diagnostics and repair, welding and metal fabrication.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform and document regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial power.
• Hands on experience in planning maintenance operations.
• Applicable Knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
• Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, electrical systems, etc.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Able and Willing to work overtime on short notice.
• Ability to drive forklift.

Physical Demands

• The employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities.
• Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment.
