Hartford Care Ltd. in Pembury is seeking a Maintenance Operative for our care home in Pembury, Tunbridge Wells. You will help keep the building safe, clean and comfortable for residents, staff and visitors.

This full-time, 48-hour-per-week role involves carrying out general maintenance, routine inspections and quick repairs, with a focus on safety and quality. Experience in care home or similar settings is advantageous.

Formación

• Previous maintenance experience in a care home, nursing home, hotel or similar setting would be an advantage.
• Reliable, practical and hardworking individual with a hands-on approach.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks throughout the care home.
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Identify and report any maintenance issues, hazards or defects.
• Maintain the cleanliness, safety and appearance of the building and surrounding grounds.
• Carry out minor plumbing, decorating, carpentry and repair work where competent to do so.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff.
• Ensure maintenance equipment and tools are used safely and stored securely.
• Follow health and safety procedures and comply with relevant care home policies.
• Support the home in maintaining a safe, comfortable and homely environment for residents.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, practical and hardworking Maintenance Operative to join our team at our care home in Pembury, Tunbridge Wells.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the home is safe, well-maintained and comfortable for our residents, staff and visitors. You will play an important role in maintaining a pleasant environment and ensuring that all areas of the home are kept in good working order.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks throughout the care home.

Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance.

Identify and report any maintenance issues, hazards or defects.

Maintain the cleanliness, safety and appearance of the building and surrounding grounds.

What We Offer

Competitive hourly pay of £14.00–£14.70.
