Job summary

GI Group Main Account in Oxford OX3 is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical or Plumbing bias) to lead a small team on a busy student accommodation site. The role is permanent, Monday to Friday, 8:00–17:00, 40 hours per week, with on-site presence and up to £44,000 salary.

You will oversee day-to-day maintenance across blocks, manage PPM and reactive works, ensure safety and compliance, coach staff, and participate in an on-call rota during peak student arrival and departure

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising a maintenance team in a busy, customer‑focused site.
• Solid knowledge of PPM across building services.
• Strong H&S and compliance mindset.
• Calm under pressure, organised, and able to prioritise.

Responsibilities

• Drive PPM, reactive repairs and life cycle works (in-house + subcontractors).
• Deliver a strong H&S culture: toolbox talks, escalating and closing out actions.
• Plan resources, coach your team, support training and performance.
• Join an on-call rota to support peak student arrival/departure periods.
