Job summary

Ecolab is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to keep the Weavergate facility running safely and efficiently. You will perform hands-on maintenance, repair critical equipment, and support process, EC&I, and electrical teams.

With 5+ years’ experience on process systems and a strong safety mindset, you will help drive continuous improvement while adhering to TPM and health & safety procedures.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in maintenance or time server engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience, preferably on a COMAH chemical site.
• Experience fault finding and repair of mechanical, pneumatic & process systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair critical equipment on the Weavergate facility.
• Support EC&I & Electrical Technicians in maintenance activities.
• Develop and follow maintenance procedures and safety documentation.
• Ensure work is recorded per procedures and TPM projects are supported.
• Work safely on site and assist process engineers with improvements.

Additional Job Description

Play a key role in keeping our Weavergate facility running safely and efficiently. In this hands‑on engineering role, you’ll maintain and repair critical equipment, support technical teams, and help drive continuous improvement across our operations.

HowYou’llMake an Impact:

• Ensure the continued running of the Weavergate facility for all process mechanical & electrical equipment through a hands‑on approach.
• The safe removal, overhauling and installation of process equipment i.e. Pumps and filling equipment.
• Support EC&I & Electrical Technicians in engineering and maintenance activities.
• Develop maintenance procedures and other Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental documentation as necessary.
• Working safely on site and adhering to health and safety procedures for maintenance work. Permit; Hot Works, LOTO, Confined Space ect.
• Work with Process Engineer, Plant Electrical Engineer & other production staff on troubleshooting and improvement projects.
• Ensure all maintenance (internal & contractors) work is carried out correctly, safely and recorded as per the procedures.
• Maintain site 5s standards and be involved with TPM based projects
• Follow Ecolab safety guidelines and incident reporting requirements

Qualifications:

• Time Server Engineer / Maintenance Technician, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. (suitable alterative experience will be considered).
• Minimum of 5 years experience, ideally working on a Top Tier COMAH chemical site.
• Experience of fault finding and repair of mechanical, pneumatic & process systems
• Experience of fabrication and installation to support equipment and pipelines
• Experience of Liquid transfer systems, maintaining and installing.
• Experience of working to a preventative maintenance schedule
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and pneumatic drawings
• Ability to write clear effective reports and procedures
• Ability to follow complex work instructions and document completed work accurately
• Willingness to learn about software control systems (SCADA)
• Willingness to assist and lean about EC&I activities
