Job Title: Maintenance Technician / Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Are you a Maintenance Technician, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, Apprentice Trained Maintenance Engineer, Leading Hand, or Supervisor?

Do you have experience maintaining site machinery for manufacturing or similar large complexes?

Do you understand the technical and logistical requirements for maintaining electrical and mechanical site services or machinery based on hands-on experience?

Roles Available

• Days shift: 6.30am – 3.00pm Monday – Thursday, 6.30am – 12pm Friday

Location: Just outside Leicester, approximately 15 minutes from M1 Leicester Forest Junction.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a maintenance technician and specialist. They seek an experienced maintenance technician or engineer to support the upkeep of site services, machinery, and plant. You will assist with facility and machinery breakdowns and participate in wider-scale projects using fault diagnostics techniques.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Completed a full engineering apprenticeship and/or qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• Multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Ability to perform daily maintenance activities, including reactive and preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Experience or qualifications in health and safety standards/regulations.
• Proficiency in fault finding of factory machinery or systems.
• Level 3 key skills or equivalent qualifications.

Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience (Beneficial but Not Essential)

• BS 7671:2008 IEE 18th/19th Edition Electrical Regulations.
• BS 7671:2008 Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
• Experience in calibration of instrumentation.
• Experience in laser alignment of rotating equipment.

Contract Details

The role is inside IR35 and will be paid through an FCSA-approved umbrella company (£24.00 – £26.00 per hour) or PAYE (£17.25 – £19.00 per hour).
