JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician

LOCATION: Exeter, North Devon, East Devon

SALARY: £16.19/ Hr

DURATION: 5 Month contract

The Employer:

We are looking to fill the role of a Multi-Skilled Technician within a housing environment, As well as meeting housing demand our client aims to enable local companies to recruit the workforce they need from their communities.

Their growth strategy will contribute to economic growth and sustain around 7,000 jobs in the building industry and its supply chain. With a plan to increase stock by 5,000 homes over the next 5 years, providing more affordable housing options on a low-cost rent and sale basis, this employer is a much sought after option, offering benefits and stability alike.

The Role:

• Fault fixing, maintenance and repair to customer properties
• Assess and carry out works needed for tenants
• Undertaking customer service issues
• Using a laptop to record repairs and organise workload

The Candidate needs:

• Experience in a similar role or trade background, preferably with experience of Carpentry, Plumbing, Masonry/Plastering and General Maintenance.
• An understanding of customer needs and ability to think quickly when needed
• To behave in a courteous and professional manner
• To be able to prioritise conflicting demands
• Great communication skills
• The ability to maintain accurate records of information
• Basic IT skills
• A clean Driving Licence

SUMMARY:

This is a Temporary, (5 Months) full time role, working a 40 hour week over 5 days.

The role requires a satisfactory Basic DBS check.
