Job summary

Camp Beaumont Group Limited is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician at Lee Valley Adventure Park to keep buildings, attractions and outdoor areas safe, well-presented, and operational. You will perform planned preventative maintenance, react to repairs and support day-to-day park operations.

Join a hands-on team responsible for safety, upkeep and guest experience. A practical, problem-solving approach is essential, with a Full UK Driving Licence and flexibility for weekends or evenings

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in general maintenance or facilities management.
  • Practical knowledge of plumbing, basic electrics, carpentry and general building repairs.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across buildings, attractions, play equipment, utilities and site infrastructure.
  • Inspect, repair and maintain fencing, pathways, signage, lighting and external areas.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues before they impact guests or operations.
  • Complete general repairs, including basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating and minor electrical work where appropriate.
  • Support the installation, maintenance and dismantling of seasonal attractions and event infrastructure.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Complete and maintain maintenance records, risk assessments, safety inspections and equipment checks.
  • Carry out regular inspections of play equipment, buildings and public-facing areas.
  • Identify hazards promptly and take appropriate corrective action to maintain a safe environment.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the park.
  • Support grounds maintenance, including painting, minor landscaping, repairs and general upkeep.
  • Ensure all public and operational areas remain safe, tidy and fit for purpose.
  • Assist with the setup, maintenance and breakdown of seasonal events and attractions.
  • Provide maintenance support during busy trading periods, special events and emergency situations.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the park and deliver an excellent guest experience.
  • Maintain maintenance tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
  • Monitor stock levels of maintenance materials and request replacements where required.
  • Support and work alongside external contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and to Lee Valley Adventure Park's standards.

Hours: 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 (primarily Monday to Friday). Flexibility is required, with occasional weekends, evening work and emergency call-outs during peak trading periods and special events.

We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lee Valley Adventure Park. You'll play a key role in ensuring our buildings, attractions, play equipment, infrastructure and outdoor areas are maintained to the highest standards of safety, presentation and operational readiness.

Working closely with the management team, you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to reactive repairs and support the day-to-day operation of the park.

You'll help ensure the site remains safe, clean and welcoming for our guests while also supporting seasonal events and attractions. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, requiring a practical individual who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities
Site Maintenance & Repairs
  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across buildings, attractions, play equipment, utilities and site infrastructure.

About You

Essential
  • Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities management, construction or a similar hands-on role.
  • Practical knowledge of plumbing, basic electrics, carpentry and general building repairs.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
  • Experience working within a leisure attraction, hospitality venue, visitor attraction or outdoor environment.
  • Relevant maintenance or trade qualifications.
  • First Aid qualification.
