We are looking for multiple experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our manufacturing facility in Darlington. This is a permanent contract involving shift work.

Salary circa £45,700 plus shift allowance, paid overtime, and excellent company benefits.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, maintaining, and making improvements to mechanical and electrical systems.
• Working with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, machinery, and specialty equipment.
• Understanding protocols for working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.
• Performing work according to schematic diagrams, operation manuals, and specifications using various tools, measuring, and testing instruments.
• Scheduling maintenance activities around production requirements.
• Participating actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• Ability to fault find on complex electrical and mechanical systems and interpret schematic drawings.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Understanding of machine safety systems, LOTO procedures, and safe work practices.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Must be an experienced, time-served Maintenance Technician supported by NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• ONC/HNC qualification in a relevant discipline such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic engineering.
• Experience with Siemens PLCs is advantageous, including fault finding and program modification capabilities.
