Job summary

Resource Recruitment is seeking aMaintenance Technician in Coventry, West Midlands to maintain and repair CNC machinery, plant and production equipment for a global aerospace business. You will help keep production running smoothly and contribute to asset reliability.

The role requires hands-on fault-finding, experience with CNC assets and a proactive approach to safety, with opportunities for career development and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or apprenticeship in engineering/maintenance.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, manufacturing or similar.
• Hands-on fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience maintaining production equipment, machinery or CNC assets.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out corrective repairs to CNC machines, plant and equipment.
• Undertaking planned preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Supporting equipment shutdowns and returning machinery to full operational condition.
• Using diagnostic and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Ensuring health and safety standards during maintenance activities.
• Supporting production teams with first-line maintenance training and guidance.
• Installing, refurbishing and improving plant and equipment.
• Working with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Maintenance Technician

Job Location: Coventry, West Midlands

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £43,842.90 – £45,333.04 per annum + afternoon shift allowance of 14%

Hours: 5-week rotating shift pattern;
2 weeks on Early shift: Monday – Friday 6am – 2pm
1 week on Afternoon shift: Monday – Friday 2pm – 10pm
2 weeks on Day shift: Monday – Friday 7am – 3.30pm

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing CNC machinery, plant and production equipment, ensuring assets remain safe, reliable and capable of performing to the required standards.

• Carrying out corrective repairs to CNC machines, plant and equipment.
• Undertaking planned preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Supporting equipment shutdowns and returning machinery to full operational condition.
• Using appropriate diagnostic and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Ensuring the highest standards of health and safety during all maintenance activities.
• Supporting production teams with first-line maintenance training and guidance.
• Installing, refurbishing and improving plant and equipment.
• Working with maintenance and production teams to continually improve equipment reliability and performance.

What we are looking for

• City & Guilds, equivalent qualification or an apprenticeship in a relevant engineering/maintenance discipline.
• Previous maintenance experience within aerospace, automotive, manufacturing or a similar production environment.
• A hands-on approach with strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience maintaining production equipment, machinery or CNC assets.

Desirable Experience

• Mechanical and electrical repair experience on CNC machinery.
• Experience with Mazak CNC machines would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of machine tools and associated control systems.
• Experience working with a range of machine tool manufacturers.
