Mechanical Engineer

Location: Cheltenham, GL51

Contract: Permanent role

Hours: 40 per week, 3 rotating shifts (Days 6-2, Nights 22-6, Afternoons 2-10)

Salary: £17.06 per hour + 20% shift allowance

Role Purpose

To provide maintenance support for all current manufacturing processes, as well as land and buildings.

Job Content

1. Conduct planned preventative maintenance, including upkeep of the CMMS system.
2. Analyze job sheets and suggest improvements to the maintenance scheme.
3. Provide mechanical breakdown cover for activities on-site.
4. Provide electrical breakdown cover for activities on-site.
5. Perform maintenance, repairs, installation, and testing of electrical apparatus.
6. Perform maintenance, repairs, installation, and testing of mechanical apparatus.
7. Work within pressurized time constraints during breakdown situations.
8. Carry out building and site maintenance, including mechanical and electrical activities.
9. Participate actively in improving planned maintenance systems.
10. Support and supervise contractors working on premises, as necessary.
11. Order and specify maintenance consumables and spare parts.
12. Work as part of a team but also independently to solve problems.
