A leading aerospace manufacturer in Broughton seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hold an HNC in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, and be proactive in ensuring safety and compliance. You will be operating on shifts, reporting to the Maintenance Process Manager, and responsible for undertaking both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks across the facility. You will understand and strictly comply with Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments, carrying out Dynamic Risk Assessments as required. You will undertake prescribed preventative maintenance tasks and actively contribute to their continuous improvement. You will undertake corrective breakdown repairs and contribute to strategies for their future elimination. You will maintain accurate records in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
You will need a proactive and safety-focused approach to maintaining complex industrial assets within a challenging environment. Completion of a time served Maintenance Technician / Fitter qualification or equivalent. HNC in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Technical background in mechanical, electrical, or automated equipment maintenance. Competency in fault finding, problem diagnosis, and the ability to read and follow maintenance procedures and schematic drawings. Experience of working with controls for hazardous environments e.g. working at heights, chemicals, electricity, stored energy, confined spaces, etc.
