We are seeking an experienced and qualified Technician to join our team at the Birmingham Depot. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of maintaining and enhancing our mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Your responsibilities will include Planned Preventative Maintenance, swift resolution of system breakdowns, defect repairs, and the overall upkeep and optimization of our depot facilities and automation systems.

The heart of the role

• Maintenance of volume picking machinery through scheduled maintenance
• Record keeping of maintenance work and supporting the management of outside contractors on site
• Immediate response to any breakdowns with production equipment, in accordance with production hours
• Assisting in delivering Supply Chain technical projects

This role requires standing and walking for most of your shift, as well as the ability to lift up to 15kg, bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.

What makes you tick

• Recognised Level 3 engineering, electrical, or mechanical qualification
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
• Experience in fault finding within electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
• Desirable knowledge: AS-i, PROFIBUS, PROFINET
