Job summary

Legacy Leisure is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician based at Spiceball, Cherwell, near Banbury. The role covers planned, routine, breakdown and reactive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, carpentry and decorating, including pool room work.

You will need to be self-motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work flexible day or night shifts. You will operate within a busy, occupied site environment, part of a friendly team yet capable of taking own initiative to keep facilities in top

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry and decorating.
• Able to work flexibly across day and night shifts to meet business needs.
• Good communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience of working in occupied properties is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the site across planned, routine, breakdown and reactive work.
• Carry out basic building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating.
• Work in swimming pool plant rooms as required.
• Work as part of a team and also independently to meet site needs.

Full Time Maintenance Technician

Based at Spiceball

Salary up to £28,500 per annum

This is an outstanding career opportunity with a not for profit charitable organisation committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local communities in which we serve.

The Opportunity

We now have an opportunity for an experienced maintenance handyperson to join the contract maintenance team at our Cherwell site in Spiceball. In this role you will be ultimately responsible for the Maintenance of the site. The successful applicant will need to be self motivated, enthusiastic and outgoing with previous maintenance experience. You will be responsible for completing planned, routine, breakdown and reactive maintenance across the site. This will include basic building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating as well as work in the swimming pool plant rooms.

The Person

The successful candidate will need to meet the following criteria :

• It is imperative that you are flexible to work variable day or night shifts on any day of the week to suit business demands.




• You will be asked to work as part of the team as well as being able to take your own initiative and work individually.




• This is a very demanding role and we are looking for someone who has a great eye for attention to detail and who takes pride in their work.




• Experience of working in occupied properties..




• Skill sets should include electrical, carpentry, plumbing and painting and decorating and must cover all disciplines.




• Excellent organisational and communication skills.




• Good computer literacy skills.
