Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a maintenance technician to handle repairs and regular servicing of fuelling vehicles at Aberdeen Airport. The role covers equipment installation, diagnostics, and quality checks to ensure safety and reliability in daily operations.

The candidate must hold a valid LGV C+E licence with ADR/CPC advantageous, and be prepared to travel to other UK sites as needed. A strong emphasis on health and safety is required.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV C+E driving licence is essential.
• ADR and CPC would be an advantage.
• High standards of health and safety awareness.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Knowledge of multiple HGV vehicle types desirable.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrics and hydraulic systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Specification, procurement, and installation of equipment for fuelling/HGV vehicle repair.
• Diagnostics, running repairs, vehicle inspections, MOT preparation to Aberdeen Airport standards.
• Servicing fuelling and maintenance vehicle pack including pressure controllers, hose tests, filters, and hydraulic checks.
• Carry out quality control to JIG standards.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety and safe working practices.
• Flexibility to work at other UK locations when required.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the repairs and regular maintenance of fuelling vehicles.

What You Will Be Doing

• Specification, procurement, and installation of suitable equipment associated with fuelling and HGV vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Diagnostics, Running repairs, Vehicle Inspections, MOT Preparation (to Menzies, Aberdeen Airport standard).
• Servicing Fuelling and maintenance vehicle pack to include Pressure Controllers, Hose Pressure Tests, Filter Changes, Electronic water detection system checks, Hose changes, Hydraulic system checks and repairs.
• Carry out Quality Control to JIG standards
• Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of Health and safety awareness and have good knowledge of safe working practices.
• Must be flexible to work at other locations throughout the UK when required.

What We Are Looking For

• Valid driving license with LGV C+E is essential (ADR, CPC would be an advantage)
• Ability to maintain high levels of awareness in relation to Health, Safety, security and the Environment is crucial in all tasks conducted in the depot.
• High standard of numeracy and literacy skills required in addition to problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of multiple HGV vehicle types desirable.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrics and hydraulic systems (certification desirable).
• Good knowledge of the vehicle fuelling pack is highly desirable.
• Must have a checkable five-year employment history
