Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Aberdeen is seeking a depot maintenance professional to service fuelling vehicles and related equipment. You will specify, procure and install fuelling and HGV gear, perform diagnostics, inspections and MOT prep to Aberdeen Airport standards.

The role requires a valid LGV C+E licence, strong safety awareness, solid numeracy and literacy, and knowledge of hydraulics/electrics. Willingness to travel UK-wide is required and a five-year work history check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence with LGV C+E is essential (ADR, CPC would be an advantage).
• High standards of health, safety, security and environmental awareness are essential.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills with good problem-solving ability.
• Knowledge of multiple HGV vehicle types is desirable.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrics and hydraulic systems (certification desirable).
• Good knowledge of the fuelling vehicle pack is highly desirable.
• Must have a checkable five-year employment history.

Responsibilities

• Specification, procurement, and installation of fuelling and HGV equipment.
• Diagnostics, running repairs, vehicle inspections, MOT preparation to Aberdeen Airport standard.
• Servicing fuelling and maintenance vehicle pack including pressure controllers, hose tests, filters, water detection checks, hose changes and hydraulic checks.
• Carry out quality control to JIG standards.
• Flexible to work at other locations across the UK when required.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the repairs and regular maintenance of fuelling vehicles.

What you will be doing

• Specification, procurement, and installation of suitable equipment associated with fuelling and HGV vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Diagnostics, Running repairs, Vehicle Inspections, MOT Preparation (to Menzies, Aberdeen Airport standard).
• Servicing Fuelling and maintenance vehicle pack to include Pressure Controllers, Hose Pressure Tests, Filter Changes, Electronic water detection system checks, Hose changes, Hydraulic system checks and repairs.
• Carry out Quality Control to JIG standards
• Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of Health and safety awareness and have good knowledge of safe working practices.
• Must be flexible to work at other locations throughout the UK when required.
