Job summary

Wellbore Integrity Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service fishing and remedial tools and related equipment. Focus areas include service quality, job preparation, planning and safety.

You will work under the Workshop Supervisor, participate in toolbox meetings, follow QHSE policies, and maintain equipment in safe, high-performance condition while reading technical drawings and solving problems independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in downhole tools.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating Break Out Machine (BOM).
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

• Strong communication with supervisors and peers.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Summary

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician role is to Service all fishing & remedial tools and related equipment. Service quality, job preparation, planning and safety are key priorities.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Participate in tool-box meetings with all members of the maintenance team.
• Always fully compliant with the requirements of the QHSE policies, standards, and wears required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintain all equipment in good, safe working order according to standards and report any problem or deviation to Maintenance supervisor.
• Understand and produce high quality products from mechanical drawings provided.
• Inspect, support, modify, assemble, maintain, pressure testing and repair all mechanical aspects of our equipment including rapid fault finding, evaluation and diagnosing of problems that occur, in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain good housekeeping conditions in workshop.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum 3-year experience in down hole tools preferably in Fishing and Remedial equipment.
• Minimum of 3-year experience in operating Break Out Machine (BOM).
• Must be able to work on their own initiative and read & understand technical drawings.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Uses logic to solve problems with effective solutions.
• Is personally committed to continuous improvement.
• Listens and is able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.
