Job summary

Splendid Hospitality Group is seeking a Maintenance Team Member for Mercure Brigstow Bristol. This part-time role involves caring for front of house and back of house areas and ensuring everything functions as it should.

Description

We are looking for an exceptional Maintenance Team Member that cares for the presentation of the front of house and back of house areas and ensure that everything functions as it should. You will proactively carry out routine maintenance tasks within the hotel and grounds to ensure the safety of our guests and team members

What You Will Do In This Splendid Role:

You will be part of the Engineering team supporting the continued maintenance of the hotel. Here’s what you will be expected to do:

• Liaise with hotel management and other departments to rooms inspections
• To assess and carry out painting, redecoration, and general maintenance.
• Determine and apply the most cost-effective, durable, and high-quality decorative and repair solutions.
• Perform both planned and responsive maintenance, including preparation, repair, application, and installation work.
• Ensure workmanship meets high standards and complies with Health & Safety legislation and workplace safety requirements.
• Complete all necessary administrative tasks, including recording jobs, monitoring reports, and updating health & safety records.
• Undertake required Health & Safety trainings, as well as manual handling training, and keep supervisors informed of progress and issues.
