Job description

We currently have a vacancy at our Severnside Plant for a Maintenance Team Leader. The key responsibility of the MTL will be to lead the maintenance of the site, ensuring equipment and facilities are maintained safely and efficiently.

You will drive the personal development of the maintenance team, manage their daily activities, and implement continuous improvements in mechanical and electrical equipment and maintenance processes. Additionally, you'll use data to drive plant improvements and support engineering projects related to capex.

Major / Key Accountabilities

1. Manage maintenance issues and delegate resources appropriately.
2. Support engineering projects as needed.
3. Develop and oversee a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
4. Ensure compliance of engineering data systems through audits.
5. Optimize equipment performance and ensure KPI achievement.
6. Manage facilities effectively.
7. Control maintenance material spend and develop expenditure strategies.
8. Assist in installing new machinery and drafting specifications.
9. Continuously train and develop self and team.
10. Identify opportunities for business improvements.
11. Provide technical expertise.
12. Develop and manage KPIs for responsibilities.
13. Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks.
14. Manage contractors to meet legal and company standards.
15. Ensure health, safety, and environmental policies are followed.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds, apprenticeship, HND, HNC, or similar in an engineering-related discipline.

Preferred Education

• Technical/Professional Qualification in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics.
