Job summary

Probe UK near Wolverhampton and Dudley is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to guide a small team of engineers on a Continental shift pattern. The role focuses on safety, maintenance planning, and KPI delivery.

The ideal candidate is apprentice-trained (mechanical or electrical) with strong fault-finding, H&S/food safety knowledge, and familiarity with QA systems; PLC/SCADA knowledge is advantageous. Excellent progression opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• Previous team-leading experience in a maintenance environment.
• Strong fault-finding capabilities and safety awareness.
• Knowledge of QA systems and standards; PLC/SCADA knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of engineers and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Improve and promote site safety across the operation.
• Manage planned and reactive maintenance and liaise with contractors.
• Maintain shift reports and monitor departmental KPIs.
• Identify and procure critical spares.

I have a fantastic opportunity for a maintenance team leader to join a well-known company based near Wolverhampton and Dudley. As chargehand you will be in charge of a small team of engineers to co-ordinate and initiate engineering activities.

Maintenance Team Leader Duties include:

• Continental shift rota.
• Improve and promote safety across site.
• Lead a team of multi-skilled engineers.
• Focus on departmental KPI’s.
• Manage and supervise contractors.
• Shift reports.
• Planned and reactive maintenance.
• Identify and procure critical spares.

As a Maintenance Team Leader Requirements include:

• Apprentice trained. (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Previous experience in team leading role.
• Strong fault-finding capabilities.
• Health & Safety / Food Safety.
• Be knowledgeable in using quality assurance systems and standards.
• PLC knowledge (advantageous)
• SCADA systems (advantageous).
