Job summary

Vorera Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to oversee a shift of engineers at our New Desford facility, ensuring high reliability, safety and continuous improvement. The role combines hands-on maintenance with leadership to maximise plant uptime and uphold engineering standards.

Ideal candidates will be time-served engineers with supervisory experience, strong fault-finding skills and PLC knowledge, with a passion for driving improvements in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Time-served engineer with a Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong fault-finding ability on automated manufacturing equipment.
• PLC knowledge and experience within a heavy manufacturing environment desirable.
• Passion for continuous improvement and leading by example.

Are you an experienced Maintenance Team Leader looking to join one of the UK's leading manufacturing businesses?

We're recruiting on behalf of a major manufacturer within the building materials sector, investing heavily in its engineering function and looking for an experienced leader to drive reliability, safety and continuous improvement across a busy production facility.

The Role

You'll lead a team of engineers on shift while remaining hands‑on with both planned and reactive maintenance. Working closely with production, you'll play a key role in maximising plant uptime, improving reliability and ensuring engineering standards remain first class.
