Maintenance Team Lead

£45,000 - £50,000 + Excellent Benefits
Monday to Friday | Day Shift

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join a well-established manufacturing organisation in a key leadership role. You'll be responsible for driving the performance of both Preventative Maintenance and Breakdown teams, ensuring optimal efficiency and minimal downtime across production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate a team of skilled maintenance technicians, setting clear goals and providing ongoing support.
• Oversee daily preventative maintenance and breakdown response activities.
• Drive departmental performance to meet operational targets.
• Provide hands-on technical support when required and act as a point of escalation.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards across all maintenance tasks.
• Contribute to the development of maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Need:

• HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• At least 2 years' experience in a maintenance supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams.
• Strong working knowledge of engineering systems, both mechanical and electrical.
• Ability to motivate others and drive a high-performance culture.

Desirable (Not Essential):

• Degree-level qualification in Engineering.
• Knowledge of maintenance systems, record keeping, and technical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs/controllers.
• Project management experience and a history of delivering improvement or cost-saving projects.
