Damp/Mould Maintenance Surveyor required to support a leading local council. As a Maintenance Surveyor, you will oversee multiple upgrade and repair projects across both public and private properties. You will join an established team of maintenance and surveying professionals providing housing solutions and public services across the region. You will assess the condition of multiple buildings across the estate, including internal and external inspections of housing and public buildings, and provide recommendations to the management team on work priority, stock condition and longevity of infrastructure. This view supports future budget decisions.
This is a role that covers both reactive and proactive maintenance projects, dealing with end users and ensuring the council provides solutions to the issues raised. It is a customer-facing role where you will interact with customers daily, offering advice, guidance and solutions.
Due to the nature of some social housing projects, you will act as the face of the council; strong customer service skills and a kind nature are essential. The successful candidate will require a background in property inspection, maintenance, or stock condition surveying. Alternatively, candidates with experience in a similar role may be considered.
Working within social housing or a local authority would be advantageous. A key part of this role is interacting with end users who may be distressed or frustrated, so a compassionate and kind individual is required. This is a long-term freelance position with a strong hourly rate and flexible working conditions. No hybrid/home working is available.
