Job summary

A Maintenance Surveyor is sought by Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Dorking to carry out pre and post inspections for responsive repairs, void properties and cyclical maintenance programmes.

You will survey buildings, identify defects, assess risks, prepare specifications and cost estimates, and oversee major void inspections to return properties to lettable standard within agreed timescales. The role is full time on a temporary basis with a pay rate of £24.81 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance surveys for repairs and cyclical maintenance.
• Ability to prepare specifications and cost estimates.
• Strong communication with residents, leaseholders and contractors.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre and post inspections for responsive repairs, void properties and cyclical maintenance programmes.
• Undertake property and building surveys to assess condition, identify defects and evaluate associated risks.
• Diagnose maintenance issues and prepare specifications, schedules of work and cost estimates.
• Manage major void inspections, ensuring properties are returned to a lettable standard within agreed timescales.
• Monitor and inspect repairs and maintenance works to ensure quality, value for money and compliance with relevant standards.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee repair, maintenance and construction projects, ensuring delivery against cost, quality and performance targets.
• Investigate and resolve complex repair issues, providing technical advice and recommendations.
• Liaise effectively with residents, leaseholders, contractors and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication throughout the repairs process.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are met and that works comply with statutory, regulatory and industry standards.
• Produce accurate survey reports, inspection records and technical recommendations.
• Contribute to service improvements and support the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
