Job summary

Hilton London Wembley is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and oversee the upkeep of building systems in a busy hotel, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will train and schedule staff, oversee contractors, respond to service requests, and maintain fixtures to deliver the warm hospitality Hilton is known for.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising maintenance teams in a hotel or similar facility.
• Knowledge of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC and life safety.
• Ability to ensure compliance with local and national regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop the maintenance team: train, schedule and guide performance.
• Ensure facility safety and compliance of building systems and life safety.
• Oversee daily maintenance operations and documentation in the property management system.
• Supervise external contractors and inspect work for quality and compliance.
• Respond promptly to service requests and guest concerns, addressing issues efficiently.
• Maintain fixtures and fittings, performing planned preventive maintenance and repairs.

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

• Supervise and develop the team: Train, schedule, and supervise maintenance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and performance
• Ensure facility safety and compliance: Support maintenance of the physical building, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations
• Supervise maintenance operations: Assign and oversee daily maintenance tasks, ensuring through documentation of work in the property management system
• Oversee contractor work: Supervise external contractors and inspect completed work for quality and compliance
• Respond to service requests: Ensure that maintenance requests, guest concerns, and emergency situations are addressed promptly and efficiently
• Maintain fixtures and fittings: Conduct scheduled and ad hoc maintenance, including planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and service requests, to ensure hotel fixtures and fittings remain in safe condition
