Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide appropriate training for our Maintenance Team and ensure they have the tools and equipment needed to carry out daily job duties, in compliance with governmental and safety regulations.
  • Oversee all work, ensuring all hotel repairs (e.g., changing sockets, light switches, basins and taps) are carried out effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
  • Supervise, support and guide our team members to continually improve performance standards and follow hotel security and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organised maintenance workshop, manage hotel inventory securely including tools, supplies, and equipment, and maintain plant, equipment and building including fixtures and fittings.
  • Ensure all work adheres to health and safety legislation.
What We Are Looking For
  • Good working knowledge of electrical work, plumbing, and hot water
  • Experience with HVAC, boilers, painting and tiling is an advantage
  • ‘Hands on’ pro‑active approach
  • Good team player with the ability to take ownership of tasks and workload
  • Understanding the needs of supervising a team on a daily basis
  • Proactive, composed, enthusiastic, approachable, able to build strong rapport with guests and other team members
