Maintenance Supervisor – Harrogate Homeless Project
Help us provide safe, welcoming places where people can rebuild their lives.
Harrogate Homeless Project (HHP) is looking for a practical, organised and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our properties across the Harrogate district.
This is an opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring our hostel accommodation, supported housing and office premises remain safe, compliant and welcoming for the people who rely on our services. Working closely with colleagues throughout the organisation, you will help create environments where people experiencing homelessness can feel secure, supported and able to move forward with their lives.
As Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance projects, scheduling repairs and routine maintenance, and ensuring our buildings are maintained to a high standard. You will oversee preventative maintenance programmes, manage contractors and suppliers, monitor budgets and support compliance with health and safety requirements.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will work in partnership with the Client Services Team and other colleagues to ensure maintenance issues are addressed promptly and effectively. You will be confident identifying problems, finding practical solutions and prioritising work to minimise disruption to residents and services.
We’re looking for someone with strong organisational and communication skills, experience in maintenance, facilities management, property services or a related field, and the ability to manage contractors and multiple tasks effectively. A hands‑on, flexible approach and a commitment to HHP’s values are essential.
