Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions, Greenwich, London, seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day engineering and maintenance across a multi-building campus. You will lead a team of 6–8 engineers, manage both PPM and reactive maintenance, ensure safety and service quality, and coordinate contractors to meet contractual obligations.

This hands-on supervisory role is Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00, with a temp-to-perm pathway.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified in electrical engineering to a recognised standard.
• Strong knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance within building services.
• Good understanding of building services systems and facilities management operations.
• Strong administrative and IT skills, including CAFM and MS Office.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and controlling expenditure.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and coordinate engineers and subcontractors.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of plant rooms.

• Primarily off the tools, but step in when needed.

Maintenance Supervisor - Greenwich, London -Temporary Contract

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join an established facilities management provider on a large, multi-building campus in Greenwich. CBW are currently recruiting for an ongoing temporary position, offering the chance to oversee the day-to-day delivery of engineering and maintenance services across the site.

The successful candidate will lead a team of 6–8 engineers, ensuring both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on supervisory role, requiring strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate engineers and specialist subcontractors while maintaining excellent service delivery.

Key Duties

• Oversee reactive maintenance to ensure it aligns with contractual obligations

• Attend and contribute to client meetings
• Coordinate and manage external contractors
• Primarily off the tools, but able to step in when operationally required

Requirements

• Fully qualified in Electrical Engineering to a recognised standard (e.g.City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance within building services
• Good understanding of building services systems and facilities management operations
• Strong administrative and IT skills, with experience using CAFM systems and Microsoft Office
• Experience managing maintenance budgets, monitoring costs, and controlling expenditure
• Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads, coordinate engineers and subcontractors, and ensure high standards of service delivery
