Job description

The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

• Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Shift Technicians.
• Be responsible for all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards and industry regulations are followed to operate as a top-tier COMAH Site.
• Work closely with operations to meet quality requirements related to ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
• Take full responsibility for Mechanical Maintenance activities, delivering tasks safely and promptly.
• Collaborate with the Planning & Scheduling team and Site Engineers to increase plant reliability.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in all work activities.
• Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, reviewing work packs, and ensuring RAMS are adequate.
• Coordinate work progress updates and ensure timely completion of work orders in the CMMS system.
• Handle priority work from defect identification to completion, including raising PRs and organizing resources.
• Document and close out work in the Maintenance Management System.
• Manage administrative tasks such as timekeeping, holidays, and disciplinary matters.
• Work with the Maintenance Planner to develop job packs, RAMS, and schedules.
• Contribute to Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance.
• Provide first-line problem solving for mechanical faults and work delivery issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, ensuring PMs are performed according to equipment needs.

SHEQ Management

• Ensure all Environmental, Health & Safety requirements are met during maintenance tasks.
• Promote a positive safety culture within the team.
• Ensure work is carried out safely and according to company guidelines.
• Report accidents, near misses, and safety improvements.

Equipment Management

• Ensure timely completion of PMs, compliance, and regulatory work orders.
• Supervise Maintenance Mechanical Technicians, prioritizing work according to site needs.
• Support projects and changeovers as required.
• Liaise with OEM contractors for inspections and plan future PM tasks.
