The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
- Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Shift Technicians.
- Be responsible for all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards and industry regulations are followed to operate as a top-tier COMAH Site.
- Work closely with operations to meet quality requirements related to ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
- Take full responsibility for Mechanical Maintenance activities, delivering tasks safely and promptly.
- Collaborate with the Planning & Scheduling team and Site Engineers to increase plant reliability.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in all work activities.
- Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, reviewing work packs, and ensuring RAMS are adequate.
- Coordinate work progress updates and ensure timely completion of work orders in the CMMS system.
- Handle priority work from defect identification to completion, including raising PRs and organizing resources.
- Document and close out work in the Maintenance Management System.
- Manage administrative tasks such as timekeeping, holidays, and disciplinary matters.
- Work with the Maintenance Planner to develop job packs, RAMS, and schedules.
- Contribute to Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance.
- Provide first-line problem solving for mechanical faults and work delivery issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities, ensuring PMs are performed according to equipment needs.
SHEQ Management
- Ensure all Environmental, Health & Safety requirements are met during maintenance tasks.
- Promote a positive safety culture within the team.
- Ensure work is carried out safely and according to company guidelines.
- Report accidents, near misses, and safety improvements.
Equipment Management
- Ensure timely completion of PMs, compliance, and regulatory work orders.
- Supervise Maintenance Mechanical Technicians, prioritizing work according to site needs.
- Support projects and changeovers as required.
- Liaise with OEM contractors for inspections and plan future PM tasks.
