Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking a Maintenance Strategy Engineer to develop and codify maintenance standards across SAP data sets. You will lead assessment of proposals, manage documentation dissemination, and drive continuous improvement using field and asset data.

You will travel across the Anglian Water region as required. The role requires a degree in Engineering with plant maintenance experience, SAP proficiency, and strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Engineering or equivalent with plant maintenance experience.
• HND/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering desirable.
• Experience with equipment design/maintenance/operation.
• Knowledge of safety management and HSE regulation basics.
• Proficient in SAP and other maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and codify maintenance strategies, standards, and tasks in SAP and asset databases.
• Lead investigation of maintenance proposals and obtain Water Supply approval when validated.
• Communicate new or revised maintenance documentation to stakeholders.
• Manage the maintenance review process for continuous improvement based on field data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align maintenance with operational needs.

Job description

Salary: From £52,000 (dependent on skills and experience)Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per weekBase Location is flexible with travel required across the Anglian Water region.Our services are at the heart of every single family and community in our region. Our Water Services team clean water to the highest standard, deliver it to millions of homes, and carefully manage it to ensure it never runs out. We borrow water from the environment, store it and treat it to world-class standards to supply safe drinking water to 4.3 million customers in towns and villages from Grimsby in the northeast of our region to Milton Keynes at the south-western tip.Reporting to the RCM Enablement Manager, this role will develop appropriate maintenance strategies, options, standards and tasks using SAP systems. Supported by Risk and Service, and Data Analysts, you will enable to development of new maintenance standards.Key Responsibilities:Develop and codify maintenance strategies, technical guidance notes, standards and tasks in the Asset Maintenance database and related SAP data tables.Lead the investigation and assessment of maintenance related proposals and recommendations and if validated, submit to the Water Supply approval group.Manage the communication of new, revised or reviewed maintenance documentation to ensure that stakeholders are appropriately informed.Manage the maintenance review process to ensure continuous improvement is based on real business experiences in the field as well as recorded asset data.Manage the communication of new or changed maintenance activities to ensure that stakeholders are appropriately informed.Inform other stakeholders of suitable monitoring of performance post change to ensure that recommendations deliver their expected benefits.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align maintenance with operational needs.Strive towards informing capital planning and procurement decisions through strategic recommendations.Requirements:University Degree in Engineering with experience of plant maintenance, operations, and rotating equipment. (Desirable)HND / HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. (Desirable)Extensive experience of equipment from a design, maintenance, or operational perspective.Knowledge of Safety Management – including Permit to Work, Hazard & Risk Assessment, Environmental Protection and basic HSE regulationsProficient in SAP and other maintenance systems.Skilled in application of root cause analysis.Experience in utilities, oil & gas, or similar sectors (Desirable)Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Willingness to travel across the Anglian Water region.Why Anglian Water?Anglian Water is not your typical water company.
