Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an Electrical Decontamination Person based at Ninewells with regular travel to other sites within Tayside. The post requires a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent and will involve electrical decontamination, disinfection and sterilization tasks.

The role includes installation, repair and maintenance of Decontamination equipment, travel between NHS sites, and participation in an on-call rota. Inductions for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland must be completed.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a recognised Apprenticeship, HNC or ONC, City & Guilds, SVQ/NVQ with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

The Post Holder will act as a fully trained and certificated Electrical Decontamination Person, to provide Electrical/Disinfection/Sterilization Services to meet the needs of the Service.

To Install, Repair and Maintain Electrical Decontamination / Equipment within all Properties of the organisation in order that the equipment can carry out its intended purpose safely, and to ensure the smooth operation of the Electrical/Decontamination Systems within the Organisation.

Participation in an on-call rota and the ability to travel between NHS sites are required.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
