Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a technician to join our decontamination service, providing reprocessing for reusable medical devices across theatres, wards and clinics including Orthopaedics and General Surgery.

No prior experience is required as full in-house training is provided over one year. A shift system includes night work, with complete flexibility to meet service needs. Gaelic speakers are encouraged to apply. This role supports patient safety and infection control within Scotland's NHS.

We have a vacancy available for the position of technician due to an expansion in our service activity. We require enthusiastic and hard working individuals to join our team who are responsible for providing a comprehensive reprocessing service for the decontamination of reusable medical devices for theatres, wards and clinics covering a range of specialities that include Orthopaedics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmic, Gynaecology and Urology.

Due to the unique service we provide, previous experience is not required as full training is provided, in house, over a period of one year.

A shift system is in place and that includes nightshift. You will be expected to be completely flexible in your hours of work to suit the needs of the service.
