Job Description: We are seeking a Maintenance Shift Manager based in our impressive 2.5 million square foot Distribution Centre in Shirebrook, one of the most advanced warehouses in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates motivated by responsibility and accountability during a period of cultural change and growth, aligned with Frasers Group values.

You will lead the Engineering Team, minimizing downtime and ensuring the uptime of automated equipment during your shift. Your technical leadership and commitment to quality will support operations by employing a broad skill set, proactively improving performance and reliability. You will spend 50% of your time leading and 50% engaged in hands-on maintenance activities.

• Manage and coordinate your shift team’s activities through effective planning and organization.
• Train, coach, and mentor your team.
• Conduct performance reviews.
• Analyze data to maintain and improve operational performance in line with KPIs.
• Promote safe working practices.
• Perform maintenance and servicing of onsite automated equipment.
• Carry out planned and reactive repairs on material handling equipment like conveyors, sorters, shuttles, and robotics.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Respond promptly to automation faults to minimize downtime.
• Work to optimize automation performance.
• Complete reports using CMMS and Microsoft software.
• Support error tracking and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and oversee hazardous tasks and PTW.
• Lead shift handovers and participate in site meetings.
• Maintain communication with Automation Manager and Head of Automation.
