Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Maintenance Shift Engineer for a site in Stoke On Trent. The role involves maintaining and optimizing state-of-the-art machinery at a distribution facility to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include disassembly/reassembly, calibration, proactive maintenance, and rapid fault finding with 415V motor controls. The ideal candidate has electro-mechanical qualifications, CMMS experience, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Eng or related field.
• Experience with NDT methods and technologies is desirable.
• PLC systems knowledge and control of 415V motor controls.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical disassembly/reassembly, basic wiring, calibration and testing.
• Manage time using CMMS to achieve high utilization.
• Complete reactive repairs within set timeframes to minimise downtime.
• Servicing and repairing installed equipment with hands-on ownership.
• Read electrical schematics and understand 415V motor controls.
• Conduct risk assessments and uphold health and safety standards.
• Follow assembly drawings and setup instructions with precision.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and strong follow-up.
• Understand and work with control systems.
