Job summary

Staffbase Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Engineer at a busy heavy industry plant near Stafford. The role focuses on PPM, reactive maintenance and fault-finding across mechanical and electrical plant.

You'll work four days on / three days off on 12-hour shifts, with opportunities for overtime and long-term progression. Relevant NVQ/HNC/HND qualifications and hands-on maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Experience in heavy industry, foundry, recycling, quarrying, aggregates, steel, manufacturing or process environments would be advantageous.
NVQ Level 3, HNC or HND engineering qualifications.
Hands-on maintenance approach with breakdown response experience.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Fault-find and repair industrial machinery and production equipment.
Maintain conveyors, crushers, screens, furnaces, cooling plant and related equipment.
Perform hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair.
Electrical fault-finding on control panels, motors, contactors, sensors and relays.
Basic electrical testing, repair and component replacement.
Contribute to site facilities and electrical maintenance.
Carry out scheduled PPMs and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
