Job summary

Flexipol Packaging Limited is seeking a highly skilled Electrically biased Multiskilled Engineer with at least five years of FMCG experience. Initially, you will work days, progressing to a continental shift pattern, 38.5 hours per week, on-site at the Haslingden facility.

You will design and modify equipment for safety and reliability, lead electrical and mechanical projects, and ensure high standards in repairs, breakdowns, and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical maintenance engineer with at least five years' FMCG experience.
• HNC or HND (or equivalent) desirable.
• Able to work continental shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cost-effective equipment modification to help improve safety and reliability.
• Undertake Electrical and Mechanical projects as required using engineering principles and techniques.
• Ensure repairs, breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and project work are completed to a high standard.
• Comply with Safe Working Practices (SWPs) and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Support the development of Apprentices on site.

If you are a highly skilled Electrically biased Multiskilled Engineer with at least five years working experience within an FMCG environment, this could be the ideal role for you:

Here’s What You Can Expect To Be Doing:

To provide efficient solutions to the development and processes and products. Working at all stages of a product from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissions. Maintaining equipment and rectifying breakdown and assisting with projects.

• Design and implement cost-effective equipment modification to help improve safety and reliability.
• Undertake Electrical and Mechanical projects as and when required using engineering principles and techniques.
• Ensuring that all repairs, breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and project work is completed to a high standard.
• Comply with all existing Safe Working Practices (SWPs) and contribute to the continuous improvement of these.
• Support the Development of any Apprentices on site.

A Few Things About You:

• Self-motivated, proactive and can work under pressure with a can-do attitude
• Excellent oral communication skills and confidence in dealing with a range of people.
• Excellent time and resource planning skills

Your Experience, Knowledge & Training Will Include:

• Highly Skilled Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with at least five years working experience within an FMCG environment
• HNC or HND (or equivalent) (desirable)

When You'll Be Working:

To begin you will be working days only and then will lead to the continental shift pattern.

You will be working 38.5 hours a week on a continental shift pattern.

You will be working on a rotating shift pattern of 07:00am - 19:00pm or 19:00pm - 07:00am.
