Gama Aviation is a very reputable Business Aviation company, working on both fixed wing and rotary aircrafts. We are continuing to grow and expand, with exciting contracts being secured.

As a result of this, an opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Service Planner to join our Rotary Base Maintenance Planning team in Staverton.

You will assist in the delivery of the full life cycle planning process for base maintenance inputs to help achieve on time delivery in a safe and efficient manner while remaining within budget. Additionally, you will ensure customer satisfaction and business needs are met. The role will require working in partnership with wider teams including customer service, engineering, and CAMO Departments to prioritize work streams and recovery actions.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that our customers’ requirements are understood and that our maintenance inputs are planned, coordinated, and executed in an efficient manner.
  • Pre-input planning, work pack generation, maintenance check progression, and work pack closure process/closure monitoring.
  • Resource planning in conjunction with the Resource Manager to cover all planned inputs.
  • Part preload based on required work-scope.
  • Check management of parts/resource/services as per the agreed plan for each input.
  • Daily engagement with engineering teams to identify constraints and implement recovery actions.
  • Control of completed work order and Certification documents, ensuring that these are closed accurately and delivered to the customer.
  • Liaise/engage with Base Maintenance Manager Rotary, providing daily status reports on aircraft serviceability.
  • Reporting of all safety & quality occurrences through iQSMS.
  • Perform other duties related to their position as directed by the line manager.
  • Support the Quality & Safety team regarding their duties to ensure all processes and department tasks are fulfilled.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

Essential:

  • Experience of maintenance/production planning within an Aviation or Engineering environment
  • A proven track record of flexibility, teamwork, and adaptability to changing environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and be competent using IT
  • Experience working directly with customer representatives

Advantageous:

  • Working knowledge of Part 145/M regulations
  • Experience of MRO planning software such as Corridor, TRAX or AMOS would be a huge advantage, but not essential
  • Excellent educational background with a degree within Mechanical, Engineering or Automotive
