Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a Scheduler to join our maintenance team on a temporary 3-6 month contract with potential extension or permanent appointment. Based at ME14 5LH, the role involves coordinating works orders, allocating repairs to operatives and subcontractors, and ensuring timely delivery.

You will use the in-house appointments system, update IT systems and PDAs, and monitor job status daily to meet target times.

Qualifications

• Experience of scheduling work within a maintenance environment.
• Experience of delivering a front-line, customer-focused service.
• Experience of working within a housing management or maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule works orders through the in-house appointments system.
• Allocate repairs to trade operatives and subcontractors to minimise turnaround time.
• Ensure IT systems are used and PDAs updated; input schedule of rate codes correctly.
• Monitor and update repairs daily to meet target times and follow-on jobs are completed.
