Job summary

PRS Recruitment Agency is seeking an experienced Plumber / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join one of our clients in London. This role offers a stable Monday-to-Friday schedule with daytime hours.

You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, replace basins and sanitaryware, and ensure safety compliance. A trade qualification and ability to work independently or in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
• Experience as Maintenance Plumber or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing and mechanical building services.
• Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Complete reactive maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing and mechanical faults.
• Replace basins, taps and sanitaryware.
• Undertake general mechanical and building services maintenance.
• Carry out minor building fabric repairs, including doors, locks and fixtures.
• Ensure plant and equipment remain fully operational.
• Respond to maintenance issues and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
