Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking skilled Maintenance Plumbers for a site-based role in Birmingham within a leading healthcare facilities management environment.

You will diagnose, repair and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures, ensuring operational reliability and client satisfaction as part of a national facilities management organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
• Experience in facilities management maintenance role.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures and materials.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect plumbing systems to identify leaks, clogs and faults and repair promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend system life.
• Diagnose leaks, blockages and pipe faults and resolve efficiently.
• Install, replace and upgrade plumbing fixtures in compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors for repairs and renovations.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements in daily work.

Site based Maintenance Plumber - Birmingham - National Facilities Management Organisation: Healthcare

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently seeking skilled Maintenance Plumbers who have a solid background in plumbing maintenance within the facilities management industry to join a leading national facilities management organisation within the healthcare sector. Your role will involve diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures to uphold optimal functionality and exceed client expectations. We have two positions available:

• - Day Shift Position – Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
• - Shift Position – 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern consisting of 2 x 7:00am - 7:00pm day shifts, followed by 2 x 7:00pm - 7:00am night shifts, followed by 4 days off

This is a site based opportunity located in Birmingham.

Package:

• - Day Shift Position: Competitive salary up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• - Shift Position: Competitive salary up to £38,000 per annum (depending on experience), including a £3,000 shift allowance
• - Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed)
• - 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:

• - Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify and rectify leaks, clogs, and other issues promptly
• - Execute preventive maintenance tasks to proactively address potential breakdowns and extend the lifespan of plumbing equipment
• - Utilise your expertise to diagnose and resolve plumbing faults efficiently, including leaks, blockages, and damaged pipes
• - Conduct installations, replacements, and upgrades of plumbing fixtures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• - Collaborate closely with other maintenance personnel and external contractors to coordinate repairs and renovations seamlessly
• - Uphold stringent safety protocols and adhere to regulatory requirements to maintain a secure working environment for all

Qualifications:

• - Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent
• - Proven track record as a Maintenance Plumber or similar role within the facilities management sector
• - In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, and materials, coupled with strong troubleshooting skills
• - Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
• - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• - Outstanding communication and customer service skills
