Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions seeks a skilled Site based Mechanical Plumber for a Birmingham role within a national facilities management organisation in healthcare. You will diagnose, repair and maintain plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality on-site in Birmingham.

The position offers a competitive salary up to £43,000, 40-hour week, and an on-call rota, with 25 days leave, pension and development opportunities. You will work with other maintenance staff to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
• Proven track record as a Maintenance Plumber or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures and materials, with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify and rectify leaks, clogs and other issues promptly.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks to proactively address potential breakdowns and extend lifespan of plumbing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing faults efficiently, including leaks, blockages and damaged pipes.
• Conduct installations, replacements and upgrades of plumbing fixtures, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel and external contractors to coordinate repairs and renovations.
• Uphold safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure working environment.

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Plumber who has a solid background in plumbing maintenance within the facilities management industry to join a leading national facilities management organisation within the healthcare sector. Your role will involve diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures to uphold optimal functionality and exceed client expectations.

This is a site based opportunity located in Birmingham.

Package:

• Competitive salary up to £43,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
• Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed)
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
