Job Overview:
A new opportunity has become available for a skilled and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong plumbing background to join a well-established maintenance team. The role is split between site and office work, delivering high standards of planned and reactive maintenance across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete remedial works and PPM tasks in line with schedules and update records via the helpdesk system.
Source appropriate equipment and materials in conjunction with the Contracts Manager and purchasing team.
Conduct basic fault finding on both electrical and mechanical systems.
Accurately complete job sheets detailing call-out descriptions, time spent, and materials used.
Keep site logbooks updated and carry out site audits, including cosmetic and general maintenance reviews.
Ensure plant systems and associated assets are well documented for asset registers and reporting.
Liaise regularly with the Helpdesk team to ensure timely completion of PPM works.
Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations, site-specific RAMS, and issue permits as needed.
Communicate effectively with clients, tenants, and on-site stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
Be part of an on-call rota to provide emergency cover as required.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating
WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) certification
City & Guilds Legionella Awareness or LCA/WMSoc accredited courses
City & Guilds 6169 Maintenance Operations or equivalent drainage-specific training
Manufacturer-specific pump training or NVQ Level 3 in Building Services Engineering
Familiarity with SFG20 maintenance standards
Understanding of Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and related construction regulations
Broad technical knowledge of M&E services and general building works
Experience with RAMS, permits, audits, and compliance documentation
Working knowledge of maintenance planning, commercial and contract management practices
